Success on lose weight tips

With New York Fashion Week in full swing, hundreds of American models have joined a social media campaign targeting the industry’s ‘unhealthy attitudes’ towards their body shape.

Working with the Model Alliance and the National Eating Disorders Association, models are signing an open letter to the American fashion industry, encouraging them to “prioritise health and celebrate diversity” on the runway.

The campaign, which is being shared across social media platforms, refers to a recent study from the International Journal of Eating Disorders, which surveyed young American models and revealed their widespread adoption of unhealthy eating practices in order to be more successful professionally.

Of the 85 models involved in the survey, 81 per cent were underweight, and 65 per cent said that they had been told to lose weight by their agents. Over 70 per cent had dieted, and more than half had skipped meals or fasted.

The open letter highlights that eating disorders have the highest mortality rates of any mental illness, and can cause “irreversible damage” to sufferers.

Using the hashtag #dearNYFW, models are now sharing stories of the pressure they claim to have been put under by agencies to continually slim down, even when they are already underweight.

On Instagram, Brooklyn-based model Hartje Andreson wrote that at her most successful point in her career (“when I had my weight down to nearly 100 lbs [and] my hip circumference finally measured 34 inches”) she started breaking ribs when she exercised.

She was so underweight that her bone density had been affected. Others speak of impossible diets and the detrimental impact their work had on their mental health.

The Best Beauty Looks

The Grammys are unquestionably the biggest night in music, but little did we know that the red carpet at the 2017 awards show would serve as an IRL demo of how to wear one of the biggest beauty trends of the year: matching your makeup to your outfit.

From Katy Perry’s head-to-toe rose gold moment, to Jennifer Lopez’s full-on lilac look, matchy-matchy makeup is having a real moment. Of course, we have to mention Faith Hill’s lipstick that perfectly matched her red dress.

Going against the grain (as usual), Rihanna revamped the trend by matching her orange crop top with her orange-tinted waves. Why coordinate your makeup and your outfit when you can opt for a bright and sunny shirt/hair combo?

And then there were the risk-takers, Solange and Kat Graham, who killed it in graphic liner and glitter lips, respectively.

from her body-con red carpet dresses to her sexy tousled locks, the Modern Family star brings the heat wherever she goes.

Yesterday, Vergara celebrated Thursday (#TBT) by posting an epic throwback photo of herself when she was younger, and just starting out in Hollywood. The comp card shot features the actress striking a pose in a white bikini and significant bling. Smoky eyes, a nude lip and dark, wavy hair completed her smouldering look. But here’s why we LOVE Vergara—she poked fun at herself, referring to a certain mega-famous family, known for their sexy look. “#tbt to when I looked like a Vergashian” she captioned the Instagram photo. Clearly, Sofia’s younger self was Keeping Up With The Kardashians! Barely-there swimwear, long, dark hair and sexy makeup? Check, check, and check. We’re sure the KarJenners—Kim, Khloe, Kourtney, Kendall and Kylie—would approve of Vergara’s twinning style.

Clothes for Roc Nation Brunch

Jay Z’s annual brunch had quite the turnout on the eve of the Grammys, as the Roc Nation family celebrated music’s big weekend at a Beverly Hills mansion while sipping on champagne and D’USSE cognac cocktails.

Singer Justine Skye was a showstopper in her MSGM ensemble which complimented her purple locks. “Obviously, I’m a unicorn, so I always want to stand out. Today, I just wanted to look like a little princess Barbie girl,” the singer explained.

The DJ kept turning hits like Beyoncé’s “Love on Top” and Stevie Wonder’s “Superstition,” while Jay Z and Sean “Diddy” Combs enjoyed cigars in their very own VIP section. Combs just had surgery but that didn’t keep him from attending… he brought his cane as his accessory and managed to make it look quite dashing. “Paul Smith is one of my real go-tos. For me, it was really about shaping my body, because I just got out of surgery, so I gained like 15 pounds, Combs said, “so I wanted to put on a piece that I felt like was going to still have me looking sexy.”

Jaden Smith, meanwhile, said he’d made his ensemble by hand. How long did it take him? “Not long,” the teen actor and rapper said.

We did you a solid and got you access to the digital front row of Altuzarra’s Fall/Winter 2017 collection—you’re welcome. Straight from New York Fashion Week, you can watch the Altuzarra show live (and given last season’s collection of Technicolor gingham and cherry-printed-everything—aka, what Carrie Bradshaw would wear to a picnic date in the park—how could you not tune in?).

Whats the hit and hot on fashion

We already know what’s going to be this spring’s hottest hair trend thanks to Kylie Jenner. The beauty mogul and reality star showed up at Alexander Wang’s Spring 2017 show at New York Fashion Week to support big sis Kendall, rocking a new ‘do that will soon be the go to trend for curly to wavy haired ladies the world over. Her normally long raven colored locks were shorn into a wavy shag complete with bangs. She styled her hair to look wet, adding an editorial touch to the trendy look.

And although it isn’t yet clear whether this new hair look is one of Jenner’s many wigs or her own hair, we can definitely say that it’s working. The reveal came conveniently right after Kendall debuted her new short bob—never to be outdone, Kylie one-upped her with her own crop.

The 19-year-old wore an outfit by Wang that included a black crop top with sheer panels as well as black, sheer-paneled leggings with sheer panels near the ankles and a multi colored plaid jacket. The social media maven posted pictures of her hair and outfit to Instagram as per usual, including a silly pic with a cartoon mouth over her own plumped up lips.
